High School Days

My experiance in high school was differant from most other teenagers. First off, let me be very let me be very frank with you, I did not attend high school very much. I mean I went (when i felt like being there) sometimes. In the 9th and 10th grade I'm going to tell you the truth, the curriculum moved to fast for me to soak up the knowledge and apply it. I say by the 11th grade I had made up my mind and chose the droop out of school and go to work route. Till this very day I kick myself in the butt. Then again, I woouldn't have had the blessed oppertunity of the yearr up program. I believe that going to school isn't for everyone. I also believe that you have to have a basis to start on. So until you are able to relize your goal will be, use school to help fullfill your dream.

The usage of slang terminology

I think that your peers influence you more in language because of the factor of trying to fit in. I also believe that every single child, until an certain age, has a natural rebelous stage. And until each individual finds his/her "swaggar" we are just repeating what we saw and found interesting. Do you know the expression "theres nothing new under the sun"? I feel as if this expression refers to actions, style, and language. It soundas crazy but for some odd reason younger people would rather make up words with multiple meanings, then take the time and properly learn the formal language of their country. I also believe the constant usage of slang termology is refered to laziness of the brain. Now this falls back on the fact that some younger people in urban neighborhoods aren't urged to do well or even attend school on a rergular basis. When you attend school, it's as if it were a gym for your mind. it constantly uses and excercises the brain. With this constant usage, it is easier to properly pronounce words that seem confusing to an underdevoloped mind. But on the other hand slang terminology is also used as "code" in most urban areas so I guess it has it's importance.
